Currently, the Infinix Note 7 is the latest Infinix phone in Kenya. This phone looks quite unique especially with the circular quad camera that resemble flagship phone models.

The rear camera is one of the most outstanding features of this device. It has a massive 48 mega pixel (MP) main camera which is ultra wide. The other three cameras at the back are 2 MP f/2.4 macro lens, 2 MP, f/2.4 depth lens, and a 2 mp, f/1.8 dedicated video camera with Quad LED flash.

The four lenses make up the circular quad camera which captures good photos and videos. The front (selfie) camera is not as powerful because it is 16 MP but it still captures good selfies.

The front camera design is hole punch which blends in to the front screen.

Latest Infinix Note 7 Review

This is phone is like a flagship model that comes at an unimaginable good price in a world where flagship models are retailing at more than 70K.

The 6.95 screen with a resolution of 720 x 1640 pixels (~258 ppi density) is good and well visible including under direct sunlight.

With a memory of 64 GB or even 128 GB, one has sufficient space to store their photos, videos and other files without worrying about the annoying low storage pop up message.

Furthermore, it offers one a microSDXC slot in case you need to plug some extra storage SD card. It has dual sim dual standby capability.

We found out that the 4 GB and 6GB RAM are very ideal for multitasking including opening several applications at the same time. Additionally, playing demanding games such as PUBG was okay too without heating, thanks to Helio G70 processor.

It comes with the latest Android 10 OS. The finger print is mounted on the side which is a disappointment since for a top model one expects an under display fingerprint sensor. Either way, that wouldn’t be cheap.

If I can put it this way, it is one of the most expensive Infinix phones in Kenya though it costs far less than Infinix Zero 6. Thus, Note 7 can be classified as a flagship model in the Infinix category.

The other shortcoming with this device is that it comes with a micro USB 2.0 instead of the revolutionary Type C. However, the charger is rated  18 Watts and thus fast.

2. Infinix Note 7 Lite

This is the other latest Infinix phone in Kenya. It was announced in April and released in May this year. This is the smaller brother of the Infinix Note 7.

The differences between the Note 7 and Note 7 Lite is that the former has a 6.95 inch screen and the latter has a 6.6 inch with a lesser resolution of 720 x 1600 pixels.

Latest Infinix Note 7 Lite Phone Review

The smaller screen on Note 7 lite with a lesser resolution does not perform as good as the Note 7 in direct sunlight. However, it is still good at reading content when outside.

The back camera is very good at 48 MP plus the two additional lenses for macro and depth for taking pictures of tiny objects and portrait photos.

The selfie camera is just 8 MP and thus less powerful than the one on Note 7.

The phone is still fairly good at gaming despite the smaller screen size because it comes with a 4GB or 6GB RAM and the Helio G70 chipset.

The battery at 5000 mAh lasts longer on this phone and supports a full day use when used moderately.

Like its brother, it also comes with a micro USB 2.0 and not Type C which is a bit of turn off. The charger is still fast but less powerful at 10 W.

3. Infinix Hot 9

This model also made it to our list of the latest Infinix phones in Kenya because it was announced in March and released in April this year.

Latest Infinix Hot 9 Phone Review

We found out that this phone is built with budget in mind. This explains why it’s memory starts from as low as 2 GB RAM, 32 GB and incorporates a Mediatek Helio A25 (12 nm). This was successful at keeping the price below KES 14k.

Don’t underestimate this phone because it performs fairly well for most functions. However, we wouldn’t recommend it for heavy games like PUBG especially the 2GB version with the A25 which tends to overheat under heavy functions.

The shortcomings are the small RAM, micro USB 2.0 charger, and the A25 chipset which are not ideal for heavy tasks. We can recommend it to someone who wants a budget Infinix phone for basic uses.

Infinix S5 pro was launched on 6th March, it is thus one of the latest Infinix phones in Kenya. It comes in unattractive design. However, the big screen which is ideal for watching movies and playing games.
